About Us

The company
Since 2001 the TA team is specialized in Technical Automation (TA) and the development of software and hardware for our clients. Our main activities consist of executing client projects in-house, contracting out our specialists and providing consultation and training services. In many of our projects these activities are combined.

The People
Our team consists of experienced professionals that each have technical backgrounds at HBO or university levels. Our strength lies in the diversity of our individual specialties. Therefore we are capable of offering solutions for a wide variety of problems.

Activities
We are at home in the knowledge intensive development of innovative hardware and software products. Our work includes the complete development cycle: including the setting of requirements and specifications, design, implementation, integration, verification and documentation of the software and/or hardware.

Additionally we support our clients with the implementation and offer consultation and training. We also have our own infrastructure to support the development process and internal communications, this includes facilities for project management, planning, version and configuration control, issue tracking and build management.

Methodology
We prefer the 'agile' way of working. Characteristics of this flexible method are:

• Intensive and transparent interaction with the client,
• Iterative development; thereby making optimum use of new insights and capable of handling changes,
• Establishing priorities based on their business value, complexity and interdependencies,
• Frequent delivery of (partial) results,
• Early identification and tackling of risks and uncertainties,
• Regular contemplation so that the results of lessons learnt can be positively used in the remainder of the project.

Our Work Domain
We are active, not exclusively, in the following areas: transport and transportation, data communications, semiconductor industry, industrial automation, instrumentation, non-destructive testing, housing automation and security.

Expertise
Our experienced team has a broad knowledge base across the field. This is encompassed by a few process- and technical related focus domains. Within the focus domains listed below we have developed specializations which are explained further on the ‘Expertise’ web page.

The process related focus domains are:

• Product development lifecycle and Agile project management,
• Requirements engineering,
• Architecture development, Design methods and techniques,
• Supporting processes: version- and configuration control, issue tracking, change management and build management.

The technical related focus domains are:

• (Embedded) software engineering,
• Electronics development; both analog and digital,
• FPGA/VHDL development,
• Internet technology with regards to embedded environments.

We invest continuously in the further development of our expertise, for example via training courses, workshops and internal study projects. The central theme is always to increase our value for the clients.
